WG cunt

In the previous post I mentioned my desire to live in a WG (German for flat-sharing community). Now I have decided to explain my desire with words rather than only with pictures.

Youth is thinking everything is still possible, but with every year you get older, you see the possibilities shrink. That spirit of the young is so precious, powerful and I resent the fact that I too am getting more and more pragmatic. Nevertheless I see myself often engage in "talking-about-the-future" dreamsessions with friends. During these session I am the happiest.

Once upon a time at starbucks, Sapçonne, Suka and I were digging ourselves deeper into the beat armchairs full of crumbs, holding onto a big cup, into which our noses went dipping from time to time (sadly no-one every got bits of foam on their nosetip).

And then the dreaming-sex started.

Foreplay: We started by just talking about our university plans. Then suddenly one of us started to remember: "Hey, didn't we once, some time ago had the plan to live together after high-school?" - "True!"- "Well, do you still want to?"- "Hmm, maybe not exactely right when we start with university but maybe a year later." - "Yes, that sounds reasonable." - "So it then would be us three?" - "Us three!" - "If not now, then never, I don't want to end up living in a WG when I am 30..." - "In one year would just be the perfect time!!!"

Climax: "I just have one request: A bedroom for myself, into which I can disappear for three days (when I am moody again) and no-one will bother me!" - "Haha, OK. But then my request would be for Suka to have her own toilet and for us to share one, I mean do you remember Suka's christmas with digestion problems... Puhh.. That was pretty bad..." - "Oh, but what are we going to do if Sapçon has once again a male visitor. My sleeping time is sacred! And I am sure the walls won't be very thick..." - "WHAT DO YOU MEAN?" - "Hehe, just joking." - "And our fridge will always contain beer!" - (all in sync.) "OHH YES" - "We'll have the coolest homeparties ever!" - "But hey! We shouldn't forget to study as well!" - " Oh no, we won't! But hey, I will have to study the most, that's not fair!" - "Are you crazy? Do you think law is that easy??" - "A very important point of our peaceful living-together will be the plan for the little-jobs-one-has-to-do-living-in-a-flat, like washing the dishes, cooking, cleaning the toilets!" - "Suka won't be let near the kitchen!" - "I hope so!" - "Hahaha, we really need such a plan, but valjusha, are you also going to do the work on the plan??" - "Hey, I always help!!" - "Jiiihaa, can't wait to decorate the flat!"

Orgasm?

Afterplay: "I am serious, let's really do this!" - "Me too. - "And me too, if I will stay in this city..." - "How much do you think we'd have to pay monthly?" - "You know it is really hard to find a flat in the centre of the city..." - "But we'll do this, no matter what." - "Yes, it is possible!" - "If not now, then when?"

Swiss Aesthetics, Part 2

I love cranes! When I was a small kid, I used to love looking at cranes. What I loved most was when they built up a crane or when they broke it down. It just looks so solid and unmovable when it stands that I found it hard to believe that it could be taken apart into smaller pieces. Imagine my joy when they set up this crane on my street! I documented the process from my balcony and this photo is what I came up with.

Zurich is a city with many, many cranes. Most people don't like them though, most people say that Zurich is 'one big construction site', which to some extent is true. There are times when I don't like them either, but usually I do.

For me a crane stands for:

- a small part in a bigger picture
- industrial development
- mechanical perfection
- something unstoppable
- something powerful

Swiss Aesthetics, Part 1

I hate Winter. The cold, dismal, depressing weather, the freezing wind blowing in your face and running down your back - it's just not my thing. But today was different. I was outside when it started to snow and suddenly everything looked beautiful. Somehow the snow blocked all other sounds and all what was left, was a quiet peacefulness, no noise penetrated the blanket of white that enveloped the city.

From this tranquil, the photo above resulted. I was observing the way the streetlights illuminated the falling snow, when suddenly a man and a woman holding hands walked into the scene.
